Transparent dresses worn by Catherine 'Kate' Middleton

Perhaps one of the most enduring style essentials in the Catherine ‘Kate’ Middleton wardrobe, whether intentionally or not, are sheer, transparent dresses.

Starting with the notoriously racy sheer, transparent number she wore at the 2002 St Andrew charity modelling show that is reported to have first ensnared Prince William, to the slightly gauzy little black dress worn under the smart black velvet Libelula coat worn to the wedding of friends in January 2011.

Avid Kate watchers will also recall the furore about whether or not she was wearing a bra.
